  Interfaces

Interfaces form a bridge between two systems that have different features (e.g. physical, electrical or mechanical). They are necessary in order to be able to exchange data and communicate.

There is a huge variety of requirements in this field. Alongside purely mechanical connectors (e.g. standardised connectors like RJ45, D-sub, DIN, USB), the specification of an interface also contains information about elements like the transfer speeds, transfer process and interface cables.

GETT offers a variety of interfaces that are relevant for control technology. The spectrum ranges from a simple electrical connector for a key panel to field buses. The GETT engineers also make use of standardised wireless technologies. When designing individual solutions, the customer’s requirements and the general technical environment determine the choice of relevant interface.

We use the following interfaces:

  • USB 1.1, 2.0
  • PS/2
  • RS232
  • RS485
  • I2C interface
  • Field bus systems
    (e.g. CAN, PROFIBUS, Ethernet Powerlink)
  • Wireless data transfer
    ( e.g. XBee, Bluetooth )
  • Mechanical and capacitive keys and key panels with connectors
(e.g. electrical connectors, sockets, terminal blocks, terminal lugs)
  • Mechanical and capacitive keys and key panels with connecting electronics
(e.g. 24-volt individual button electrically isolated outputs)
